About the Role
Marvin Behavioral Health is at the forefront of addressing the mental health challenges faced by healthcare professionals through teletherapy. As a remote mental health therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering care that is both empathetic and effective. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting therapy sessions via video platforms, utilizing digital scheduling tools, and leveraging electronic health records (EHRs) to monitor progress and improve treatment outcomes. You will be part of a clinical team dedicated to supporting the well-being of healthcare workers, mental healthcare workers, and first responders. The role requires a deep understanding of the unique stresses and challenges faced by these professionals and the ability to provide culturally humble and patient-centered care.Your expertise and experience will be invaluable in helping to assess and address the mental health needs of your clients. You will work closely with your team to ensure that each client receives comprehensive and compassionate care. The ability to incorporate assessment and measurement-based tools into your practice will be crucial in monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
What You Will Do
- Conduct remote therapy sessions with healthcare professionals, mental healthcare workers, and first responders
- Utilize video platforms for therapy sessions, ensuring comfort and familiarity with digital tools
- Leverage EHRs to maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Employ digital scheduling tools to manage your caseload efficiently
- Incorporate assessment and measurement-based tools (e.g., PHQ-9) to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans
- Deliver care that is grounded in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, EMDR, or the Gottman Method
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure comprehensive care for all clients
- Maintain open communication with clients, addressing their concerns and providing support
- Stay updated on best practices in teletherapy and mental health support for healthcare workers
What We Are Looking For
- Dual licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist in Louisiana and one additional state (CA, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VA, WV)
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing therapy to adults
- Experience providing therapy to healthcare professionals, mental healthcare workers, and/or first responders
- Availability for at least 10-15 hours per week
- Comfort and proficiency in using video platforms, EHRs, digital scheduling tools, and Google Workspace
- Ability to incorporate assessment and measurement-based tools into your practice
- Commitment to practicing cultural humility and patient-centered care
Nice to Have
- Experience with a variety of evidence-based practices
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and digital tools beyond the basics
- Previous experience working in a remote or virtual setting
- Knowledge of or experience with crisis support and intervention
