About the Role
As a Localization QA Game Tester at Side, you will be responsible for testing games for global publishers, ensuring that they are free from errors and culturally consistent. You will work as part of a global team, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to deliver high-quality gaming experiences. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include testing games on various platforms, identifying and reporting errors, and providing feedback to the development team.The role of a Localization QA Game Tester is critical in the gaming industry, as it ensures that games are of high quality and meet the expectations of players worldwide. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of games, from action-adventure to role-playing games, and will be able to see your work come to life in the final product.
What You Will Do
- Test games on various platforms, including PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch
- Identify and report errors, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes
- Provide feedback to the development team on game quality and cultural consistency
- Collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to deliver high-quality gaming experiences
- Ensure that games are free from cultural inconsistencies and are suitable for global audiences
- Test games for compliance with console manufacturer guidelines
- Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions
- Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation
- Oversee the quality of your work, collaborating with the team and contributing to the overall success of projects
- Work with a multilingual project team to ensure that games are accurately localized into target languages
- Ensure that games are free from grammatical errors and are culturally consistent
What We Are Looking For
- Fluency in English
- Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for
- Computer literacy, particularly with Excel
- Robust internet research skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams
- Candidate must be located within the Schengen Area
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team
