About the Role
At Kyndryl, we are looking for a skilled Mainframe Network Engineer to join our team. As a Mainframe Network Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing our z/OS Communications Server and File Transfer systems.Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize VTAM definitions (APPL, LUs, logmodes, major/minor nodes) and EE/High-speed links as applicable
- Engineer and tune z/OS TCP/IP stacks: stacks parms, interfaces/OSA, routing, VIPA/DVIPA, Sysplex Distributor/WLM integration, HiperSockets
- Implement and troubleshoot TN3270 server configurations, including port management, SSL/TLS enablement, session pooling, and workstation/client interoperability
- Support Connect:Direct (NDM) node configuration, Secure+ parameters, performance tuning, checkpoint/restart, and partner onboarding
Requirements
- Experience with z/OS Communications Server and File Transfer
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and VTAM
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
