About the Role
The Maintenance role at Apple Self Storage is a vital part of ensuring the company's facilities are clean, safe, and operating efficiently. As a maintenance professional, you will be responsible for supporting two locations, North and South side, and working closely with the site teams to prioritize daily and seasonal tasks. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in this role.The company is looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining facilities in top shape. What You Will Do
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of offices, washrooms, hallways, and driveways
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks, such as fixing doors, replacing light bulbs, and lubricating locks
- Keep the outside of the facility property looking tidy and accessible to customers
- Identify and report any safety or security issues to the Site Manager
- Support site teams by prioritizing daily and seasonal maintenance tasks
- Work alongside Site staff to ensure the facilities are well-maintained and running smoothly
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
- Stay alert to any unusual activity after hours and report concerns accordingly
- Keep track of what's been done and what's still needed, and work efficiently
- Communicate clearly with your team and ask for guidance when needed
What We Are Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, janitorial work, landscaping, or a similar role
- Comfortable with physically demanding tasks (lifting, climbing ladders, outdoor work)
- Availability for weekday work, with some flexibility for occasional weekend or after-hours needs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required based on site location
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and ability to ask for guidance when needed
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
Nice to Have
- Experience with handyman or repair work
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
- Experience working with a variety of tools and equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights
