What You Will Do
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including the parking lot, sidewalks, and exterior areas
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the store, including restrooms, break rooms, and sales floors
- Remove trash and recyclables from the store and dispose of them properly
- Maintain the store's equipment and fixtures, including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Respond to customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Work with other departments to ensure seamless store operations and to achieve sales and customer service goals
- Participate in training and development programs to improve your skills and knowledge
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and report any safety concerns or issues to management
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives
- Stay up-to-date with company policies and procedures, and adhere to all safety and security protocols
What We Are Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or janitorial role, preferably in a retail environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures and protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
Nice to Have
- Experience with cleaning and maintenance equipment, such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, such as OSHA guidelines and emergency response plans
- Ability to speak multiple languages, preferably Spanish
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role
- Certification in a related field, such as janitorial or maintenance
