About the Role

The maintenance team is a critical component of the store's overall success, and as a member of this team, you will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to achieve your goals. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, responding to customer concerns, and working with other departments to ensure seamless store operations.

What You Will Do

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including the parking lot, sidewalks, and exterior areas
• Clean and sanitize all areas of the store, including restrooms, break rooms, and sales floors
• Remove trash and recyclables from the store and dispose of them properly
• Maintain the store's equipment and fixtures, including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Respond to customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
• Work with other departments to ensure seamless store operations and to achieve sales and customer service goals
• Participate in training and development programs to improve your skills and knowledge
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and report any safety concerns or issues to management
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives
• Stay up-to-date with company policies and procedures, and adhere to all safety and security protocols

What We Are Looking For

• 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or janitorial role, preferably in a retail environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures and protocols
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends

Nice to Have

• Experience with cleaning and maintenance equipment, such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, such as OSHA guidelines and emergency response plans
• Ability to speak multiple languages, preferably Spanish
• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role
• Certification in a related field, such as janitorial or maintenance
