About the Role

The Major Enterprise Account Executive role at Amplitude represents a pivotal opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to drive momentum in the DACH market. As a senior role model, this individual will be responsible for owning a mixed book of spending accounts with significant expansion potential, as well as identifying and winning new business from a host of untapped prospect accounts. This role requires a unique blend of strategic vision, sales acumen, and product expertise, as the successful candidate will need to build and execute tailored sales strategies that resonate with C-suite executives and drive business value.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will be fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on running full enterprise sales cycles, building pipeline through outbound efforts and partnerships, and applying rigorous sales methodologies to qualify and close deals. The ideal candidate will be a product evangelist at heart, able to articulate the technical and commercial value of Amplitude's product analytics platform to a range of stakeholders, from marketing and product teams to engineering and executive leadership.

As part of a growing team, the Major Enterprise Account Executive will work closely with internal stakeholders, including SDRs, solutions consultants, customer success teams, and legal, to ensure alignment and drive customer value. This role requires a strong hunter mentality, with a focus on consistent pipeline generation, land-and-expand sales strategies, and a deep understanding of the sales process.

What You Will Do

  • Run full enterprise sales cycles with a value-first mindset, including discovery, demos, and executive presentations tailored to customer needs
  • Build pipeline through outbound efforts, AI-assisted tools, SDR partnerships, marketing programs, and the partner ecosystem
  • Apply MEDDPICC sales methodology with rigor, including qualifying hard, building champions, and getting to economic buyers early
  • Become a product evangelist across marketing, product, and engineering personas, selling technical and commercial value at every level
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including SDRs, solutions consultants, partners, customer success, and legal, to drive customer value
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the team, contributing to the development of a high-performing sales organization
  • Develop and execute account plans that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine sales strategies and messaging
  • Provide input on product roadmap and development, based on customer feedback and market insights

What We Are Looking For

  • Enterprise SaaS or AI sales experience, ideally with deals in the $50K-$800K ARR range
  • A genuine hunter mentality, with a focus on consistent pipeline generation and land-and-expand sales strategies
  • Strong understanding of MEDDPICC sales methodology, with the ability to apply it in a practical and effective way
  • Strong C-suite presence, with the ability to build relationships and drive business value at the executive level
  • Domain knowledge of the analytics, data, data warehouse, and experimentation space, or experience selling complex SaaS solutions
  • Experience multi-threading across a range of business and technical stakeholders, ideally within marketing, product, and engineering
  • Naturally curious and empathetic, with a willingness to experiment with the sales process and adapt to changing customer needs
  • Fluency in German and English, with excellent communication and presentation skills
