About the Role
The AI Deployment Engineering team at Openai is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective deployment of Generative AI applications for developers and enterprises. As the leader of the AI Deployment Engineers in Korea, you will play a critical role in driving the technical success of Openai's most strategic technology and software customers. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing the entire implementation journey, from initial integration to seamless platform deployment.The AI Deployment Engineering team acts as a trusted advisor and thought partner for Openai's customers, working to build an effective backlog of GenAI use cases for their industry and driving them to production through strong technical guidance. As the voice of the customers, you will align technical teams to deliver a consistent and exceptional experience throughout the customer lifecycle.

What You Will Do
- Own the strategy and operating model of the AI Deployment Engineering team in Korea, ensuring alignment with company objectives and the evolving needs of customers
- Lead, build, and mentor a team of high-performing AI Deployment Engineers to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
- Serve as the technical advocate for customers, synthesizing their needs to develop the Research and Applied Product/Engineering roadmaps
- Act as the primary technical escalation point during development, fostering trust and maintaining direct communication with executive-level stakeholders
- Serve as an industry thought leader, championing the safe and innovative application of Openai's technology across various sectors
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with C-level technical and business stakeholders at key customer accounts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, applying this knowledge to improve the deployment and management of AI applications
- Participate in the development of best practices and standards for AI deployment, contributing to the growth of the AI community
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role, managing C-level technical and business relationships with complex global organizations
- 4+ years of experience leading technical post-sales teams with a demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and manage technical teams
- Experience leading complex implementations of technical solutions, preferably related to Generative AI or traditional ML
- Knowledge of network/cloud architecture and experience with cloud-based AI deployment
- Effective and polished communication skills, with the ability to translate business and technical topics to all audiences
- Humble attitude, eagerness to help others, and a desire to pick up whatever knowledge is missing to make both the team and customers succeed
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to dive deep into technical issues and develop creative solutions
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Knowledge of security best practices for AI and machine learning deployments
