Job Description

About the Role

The Manager, Controls Services & Support, will be a technically credible leader with deep experience in HVACR controls systems and solution delivery. This role will lead a team of technical professionals responsible for global case resolution, controls programming, third-party integrations, and custom interface solutions. As a key member of the Copeland team, you will partner closely with OEM stakeholders, Engineering, Product Management, Project Services, and Field Services teams to improve deployment readiness and strengthen integration consistency.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in HVACR controls systems, programming, integrations, and system architecture. They will be responsible for translating complex technical challenges into clear execution plans and operational priorities. With a focus on building scalable processes and repeatable technical solutions, this role requires a strong coach and mentor who can develop technical talent and foster engineering discipline.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of 14 technical professionals, including two technical support supervisors and technical specialists
  • Provide technical leadership for global technical support and controls-related technical services
  • Partner with OEM stakeholders, Engineering, Product Management, Project Services, and Field Services teams
  • Improve deployment readiness and strengthen integration consistency
  • Develop and execute strategies for large-scale customer rollouts
  • Align technical support performance with controls services delivery
  • Focus on building scalable processes and repeatable technical solutions
  • Serve as a strong coach and mentor who develops technical talent and fosters engineering discipline
  • Operate in a matrixed organization with cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead teams responsible for technical delivery in customer-facing environments

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Strong background in HVACR controls systems, programming, integrations, and system architecture
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within professional services, technical delivery, or engineering organizations
  • Experience supporting complex customer deployments involving controls programming, integrations, or commissioning
  • Familiarity with service delivery metrics including SLA performance, technical KPIs, and customer outcomes
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to build scalable processes and repeatable technical solutions
  • Experience with matrixed organizations and cross-functional collaboration
