About the Role

The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Manager of Data Science to lead its Product Analytics team. This role involves guiding a team of data scientists in producing actionable insights that inform product decisions, strategy, and development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of data scientists to deliver timely and accurate quantitative data and insights.
  • Ensure the team operates with a collaborative and inclusive culture, mentoring members in critical thinking, data storytelling, and technical skills.
  • Partner with various teams, including Experiment Platform & Data Engineering, to build accessible data products.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing data science teams, preferably in a product analytics context.
  • Proficiency in tools like Adjust and Excel.
  • Ability to work within the UTC+1 to UTC-8 time zones and participate in synchronous work and meetings.
