About the Role

The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead its Product Analytics team, focusing on leveraging data to inform product decisions and strategies. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director of Research and Decision Science.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of data scientists to deliver timely, accurate quantitative data and insights that guide product development and strategy.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, mentoring data scientists in critical thinking, storytelling, and technical skills.
  • Partner with various teams to design and maintain accessible data products and tools.

Requirements

  • Experience with data science management, preferably in a product analytics context.
  • Proficiency in tools like Adjust and Excel.
  • Ability to work within the UTC+1 to UTC-8 time zones and participate in occasional travel for conferences and offsites.
