About the Role

The Manager, Enterprise Technical Sales role at Autodesk is a leadership position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and customer acumen. As the leader of a team of Account Technical Leads and Technical Specialists, you will be responsible for driving enterprise sales targets and quotas through effective technical orchestration and sales strategy. The role is based in Australia and will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and motivating your team to achieve sales targets, as well as developing and executing technical sales strategies that align with customer needs and Autodesk's product portfolio. You will also be responsible for ensuring technical engagement is aligned with priority accounts and opportunities, and for driving technical orchestration across regions and industries to ensure pipeline coverage and health.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Account Technical Leads and Technical Specialists to achieve sales targets and quotas
  • Develop and execute technical sales strategies that align with customer needs and Autodesk's product portfolio
  • Ensure technical engagement is aligned with priority accounts and opportunities
  • Drive technical orchestration across regions and industries to ensure pipeline coverage and health
  • Align technical sales insights with Account Executive forecasts to ensure realistic technical validation timelines and proactive risk mitigation
  • Provide structured feedback to leadership to inform strategy, enablement, and execution improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and demos to customers and partners

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8-12 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, solutions consulting, or enterprise technology roles
  • 3-5 years of people management experience leading technical or pre-sales teams
  • Proven experience supporting complex, enterprise-level sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of value-based selling, ROI modeling, and technical validation in large deals
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strategic planning and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to translate company strategy into technical sales plans
  • Customer and industry acumen, with a deep understanding of customer business models, industry trends, and competitive landscapes
  • Relationship-building skills, with the ability to build long-term customer and partner relationships
  • Technical sales excellence, with a strong foundation in value engineering, ROI-based selling, and technical objection handling
