About the Role
The Manager, Field Strategy, will serve as the operational backbone for DoorDash's DashMart, focusing on creating and maintaining standardized processes, performance systems, and operational cadences that drive consistent execution across all locations. This role will be pivotal in translating business strategy into actionable site-level standards, developing comprehensive playbooks and SOPs, and building performance management systems that reduce variability and improve outcomes network-wide.The role will be part of the Site Operations team within the DashMart organization, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Enablement. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to shape the operational DNA of a rapidly scaling retail network, working directly with site leadership to transform how locations execute daily operations.
As DashMart expands partnerships with major grocery retailers, the need for enterprise-grade operational consistency becomes increasingly important. The Manager, Field Strategy, will be at the forefront of this effort, ensuring that operational requirements are embedded in upstream decisions and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and results.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement standardized processes, SOPs, and operational frameworks across multi-site, distributed, or field-based organizations
- Create performance management systems, including establishing metrics, accountability frameworks, and operational cadences
- Collaborate with site leadership to drive adoption and results, ensuring that site-level standards are consistently met
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, supply chain, real estate, and technology, to ensure operational requirements are embedded in upstream decisions
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these gaps
- Develop comprehensive playbooks and SOPs that drive consistent execution across all locations
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including site leadership and cross-functional teams
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in operations strategy, process standardization, performance management, or field operations, including experience leading cross-functional initiatives
- Experience developing and implementing standardized processes, SOPs, or operational frameworks across multi-site, distributed, or field-based organizations
- Strong analytical capability, including experience using operational data to inform decision-making
- Experience building performance management systems, including establishing metrics, accountability frameworks, and operational cadences
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and site leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex operational challenges and develop effective solutions
- Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools
