About the Role
The Manager, Follow Up role at QHR is a pivotal position that oversees the operations of the Follow Up team, responsible for managing multiple specialties, including ER/Urgent Care, Pain/Anesthesia, Geriatrics, and other areas. The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and overall process improvement for assigned responsibilities. This role matters because it directly impacts the revenue cycle and customer satisfaction. The selected candidate will work closely with the VP of Revenue Cycle to carry out process improvements, monitor AR for all clients across various specialties, and guide Team Leads to resolve issues efficiently. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills to build successful working relationships with the Follow Up Team Leads and staff.What You Will Do
- Manage multiple specialties, including ER/Urgent Care, Pain/Anesthesia, Geriatrics, and other areas
- Implement process changes within the unit itself to improve efficiency
- Coordinate training needs for the Follow Up team
- Guide Team Leads to the correct resolutions and provide applicable feedback when necessary
- Monitor PTO and flex time requests to ensure adequate staffing
- Review daily workflows to identify areas for improvement
- Complete performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Audit employees' performance and provide feedback to ensure compliance with revenue cycle standards
- Closely monitor all claims over 60 days old to identify and resolve trending AR issues
- Involve other members of management or client services accordingly to resolve complex issues
- Report directly to the VP of Revenue Cycle on process improvements and areas for improvement
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working in all aspects of the revenue cycle, including denials and office management
- Prior leadership experience in managing teams and operations
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to drive process improvements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
- Billing and compliance knowledge to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex AR issues
- Experience with Excel and other revenue cycle management tools
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision and maintain productivity
Nice to Have
- Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in revenue cycle management
- Knowledge of electronic health records and practice management systems
- Certification in revenue cycle management or a related field
- Experience with data analysis and reporting to drive business decisions
