About the Role

The Manager, Institutional Sales role at Coinbase is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team and shape the future of the financial system. As a key member of the institutional sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with high-profile clients, including crypto native hedge funds and prosumers. Your expertise in sales, strategy, and analysis will be crucial in driving market share and identifying opportunities within the region.

What You Will Do

  • Develop new and maintain existing client relationships across crypto native hedge funds and prosumers
  • Coordinate strategy and analysis for the segment and proactively drive market share
  • Identify opportunities within the region and channel client feedback to improve the franchise
  • Meet face-to-face with existing and prospective clients, as well as hosting, organizing, and attending client events and conferences
  • Help the institutional business scale by collaborating with team members to build and optimize processes for sales, support, and CRM
  • Analyze large data sets and create data-driven models to inform sales strategies
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the crypto and blockchain landscape
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive sales growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve client satisfaction

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a crypto trading or custody environment, and/or a traditional institutional banking, asset management, exchange, or brokerage environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and existing relationships with a number of focus clients in the hedge fund segment
  • Strong understanding of prime-brokerage services and crypto technology
  • Ability to comfortably deal with numbers, including data analysis and modeling
  • Strong strategic thinking, articulate client-facing communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to distill complex information into easily digestible form
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows
  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills, with a proven track record of closing high-profile deals
