About the Role
The Manager of Product Analytics at Pinwheel will be a strategic partner to the Product, Engineering, Design, and Go-to-Market teams, driving data-informed decisions to propel the company's mission forward. This role goes beyond mere dashboard management, instead focusing on proactive insights that uncover high-impact opportunities and shape product and business strategy. By combining quantitative and qualitative signals with business context, the successful candidate will help Pinwheel understand not just what is happening in their products, but why.Day-to-day, the Manager of Product Analytics will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators, analyze trends, and develop recommendations that influence roadmap priorities and customer best practices. What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain complex data models and analyses to inform product and business strategy
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to identify and prioritize key performance indicators and metrics
- Proactively identify trends, opportunities, and challenges through data analysis, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Work closely with the Go-to-Market team to analyze market trends and competitor activity, informing product development and launch strategies
- Design and implement A/B testing frameworks to measure the effectiveness of product features and marketing campaigns
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics and performance indicators
- Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis and product analytics
- Manage and mentor junior team members, contributing to the development of the analytics function
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in product analytics, data analysis, or a related field, with a focus on driving business outcomes through data insights
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data visualization tools
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and communicate the business implications of data insights
- Experience working with GTM teams to inform product launch and marketing strategies
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or computer science
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools, such as AWS or GCP
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the financial services industry, particularly in a role focused on consumer financial products
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in product development and user experience enhancement
- Certification in data science or a related field, such as Certified Data Scientist (CDS) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
- Experience managing and mentoring junior team members
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git
