Manager Product Development

About the Role

As a Manager, Product Development, you will be responsible for driving execution, quality, and delivery, guiding teams to create experiences that delight customers and advance the business. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design to define clear goals, balance trade-offs, and deliver seamless user experiences. Your team will be responsible for building and shipping features that drive the product forward, and you will be accountable for ensuring that your teams have the clarity, focus, and support needed to move fast and ship with confidence.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage small, high-ownership engineering teams responsible for building and shipping product features that delight customers
• Drive execution from concept to production, ensuring teams deliver high-quality, impactful features on schedule
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to define clear goals, balance trade-offs, and deliver seamless user experiences
• Empower engineers to take end-to-end ownership of their services - from design through operation - fostering a culture of accountability, autonomy, and craftsmanship
• Own hiring and team-building efforts to scale C1's product development organization for long-term success
• Shape the structure and composition of teams as the organization grows, ensuring clear ownership boundaries and effective collaboration
• Establish lightweight, effective processes that enable fast iteration while maintaining product quality and reliability
• Mentor engineers and tech leads, supporting their growth as technical leaders and product thinkers
• Balance speed and quality, knowing when to move quickly and when to invest in maintainability
• Make sound technical decisions without needing to be hands-on in the code

• Proven experience managing product-focused engineering teams in a fast-moving environment
• A track record of building, scaling, and retaining high-performing engineering teams
• Strong technical instincts and the ability to make sound technical decisions
• Experience delivering complex, high-impact features to production
• Deep customer orientation and the ability to translate product vision into clear, achievable engineering outcomes
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to foster a culture of autonomy and accountability
• Experience with Excel and other productivity tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• A history of driving execution, quality, and delivery in a product development environment

• Experience leading teams building SaaS or security-focused products
• Knowledge of AI-native identity security solutions and their applications
• Experience improving developer experience or delivery velocity through process and tooling improvements
