About the Role
The Manager, Product Development at C1 will play a crucial role in leading small, high-ownership engineering teams responsible for building and shipping product features that delight customers. This role entails managing teams from concept to production, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful features on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in managing product-focused engineering teams in a fast-moving environment.As a Manager, Product Development, you will be responsible for driving execution, quality, and delivery, guiding teams to create experiences that delight customers and advance the business. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design to define clear goals, balance trade-offs, and deliver seamless user experiences. Your team will be responsible for building and shipping features that drive the product forward, and you will be accountable for ensuring that your teams have the clarity, focus, and support needed to move fast and ship with confidence.

What You Will Do
- Lead and manage small, high-ownership engineering teams responsible for building and shipping product features that delight customers
- Drive execution from concept to production, ensuring teams deliver high-quality, impactful features on schedule
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to define clear goals, balance trade-offs, and deliver seamless user experiences
- Empower engineers to take end-to-end ownership of their services - from design through operation - fostering a culture of accountability, autonomy, and craftsmanship
- Own hiring and team-building efforts to scale C1's product development organization for long-term success
- Shape the structure and composition of teams as the organization grows, ensuring clear ownership boundaries and effective collaboration
- Establish lightweight, effective processes that enable fast iteration while maintaining product quality and reliability
- Mentor engineers and tech leads, supporting their growth as technical leaders and product thinkers
- Balance speed and quality, knowing when to move quickly and when to invest in maintainability
- Make sound technical decisions without needing to be hands-on in the code
