About the Role
The Manager of Project Management at GMR Marketing is a critical role that involves leading end-to-end project management from concept to execution. As part of the Enablement Office, a group focused on streamlining workflows and driving operational excellence, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the agency to manage project phases and deliverables. The role reports to a senior leader within the Enablement Office and will work closely with various teams, including creative, account management, and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in project management best practices, agency experience, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
What You Will Do
- Manage key workstreams within complex, multi-workstream programs, supporting planning, execution, estimating, and scoping
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to maintain clear communication, role alignment, and proactive risk awareness
- Contribute to improving workflows by identifying process opportunities, sharing learnings, and supporting best practices across teams
- Support budget tracking and financial reporting by monitoring estimates, flagging variances, and facilitating financial check-ins or updates to collaborative partners
- Manage day-to-day workflows, change requests, and assist with estimates and SOWs using input from subject matter experts
- Flag risks or roadblocks as they arise and develop mitigation strategies
- Lead project teams and cross-functional partners, helping keep work organized, on track, and aligned with goals
- Support colleagues by sharing knowledge, offering guidance when needed, and contributing to a positive, collaborative environment
- Develop and maintain project management documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in project management and apply this knowledge to continuously improve processes
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in an agency setting
- Strong foundation in project management best practices, including Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing timelines and priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Experience with project management tools, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting principles
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Nice to Have
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Certification in project management, such as PMP or Agile
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, such as Marketo or HubSpot
- Familiarity with cloud-based project management tools, such as Google Workspace or Notion
