About the Role

Affirm is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead the development of repayment tools and systems for international customers. The Repayments Nexus team, based in Europe, aims to create easy, transparent, and flexible repayment experiences. As a manager, you will build and lead the new International team for the Repayments area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team responsible for repayment processes in international expansion.
  • Mentor engineers on design, code quality, and testing.
  • Own availability, reliability, and performance of your team’s systems.
  • Partner with product managers to design and build best-in-class systems and processes for collections.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of proven experience as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities and 1+ years as an engineering manager.
  • Prior experience growing and managing a high-performing engineering team.
  • Fluency in backend development.
  • Experience architecting, building, launching, and maintaining consumer-scale products.
