About the Role
Join Aprio's Tax Special Operations team as a Manager - Tax Controversy. This position focuses on resolving complex tax disputes across various jurisdictions.Responsibilities
- Manage tax audits, appeals, and disputes with tax authorities.
- Develop strategies for effective tax controversy resolution.
- Review correspondence with the IRS and state jurisdictions.
- Serve as a primary contact for clients during tax controversies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
- Conduct research and analysis on tax laws and case law.
- Prepare memoranda and reports detailing findings.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Requirements
