About the Role

The Manager, UX Research position at Dayforce is a key leadership role that entails leading a team of researchers to shape the future of human-AI workforce experiences. This role is critical in driving the company's transformation into an AI-powered and agentic human capital management platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 5-7 researchers, including providing coaching, feedback, and guidance on project work, as well as contributing to the development of early career researchers.

The role will involve working closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and AI teams to identify opportunities where automation, assistance, and human expertise can work together to create customer value. The Manager, UX Research will be responsible for establishing a vision for how research informs product strategy, AI innovation, and experience quality across Dayforce.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a team of 5-7 researchers, including 1:1s, regular coaching and feedback on project work, professional development, and performance reviews
  • Bring a B2B strategic mindset to help researchers connect their work to business value and drive impact
  • Lead the research direction of the team, establishing a vision for how research informs product strategy, AI innovation, and experience quality
  • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and AI teams to shape the future of intelligent and agentic experiences
  • Identify opportunities where automation, assistance, and human expertise can work together to create customer value
  • Help develop early career researchers through modeling advanced research skills
  • Uphold quality standards in the face of pressures such as timelines, feedback, and workloads
  • Build relationships and partner with leaders across Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Strategy
  • Ensure the team maintains focus on their work, avoiding disruption and distraction
  • Guide the evolution of research operations to enable an effective, scalable, and efficient research function

  • Existing management experience, preferably in a UX research or related field
