About the Role
The Manual Quality Assurance Engineer position at Speechify is a key component of the company's SIMBA Team, based in Hyderabad, India. As a manual QA engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Speechify's products and services. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing and executing thorough test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. What You Will Do
- Develop and execute manual test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of Speechify's products and services
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to identify and resolve defects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results
- Participate in Agile meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts to improve testing efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in quality assurance
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities to promote best practices in QA
- Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement quality metrics and benchmarks
What We Are Looking For
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing, preferably in a startup or Agile environment
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including testing principles, methodologies, and tools
- Experience working in Agile environments, with knowledge of Scrum or Kanban frameworks
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to prioritize tasks effectively

- Experience with test automation frameworks, such as Selenium or Appium
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins or Docker
