About the Role

The SIMBA Team is a key part of Speechify's growth strategy, and as a QA engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the team's success. You will be working in an Agile environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, and collaborating with other teams to ensure that QA is embedded throughout the development lifecycle. What You Will Do

• Develop and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases to ensure strong functional coverage across core user flows and edge cases
• Perform hands-on manual testing across browsers and devices to validate new features, bug fixes, and releases
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to identify, reproduce, isolate, and document defects
• Provide clear steps, expected vs. actual results, and supporting evidence to help engineers reproduce and fix issues
• Maintain clear and organized QA documentation, including test cases, regression suites, test reports, and release validation summaries
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to ensure issues are triaged correctly and prioritized based on user impact
• Participate in Agile workflows, including daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives
• Execute regression testing and release validation to ensure product quality and stability prior to launch
• Continuously identify ways to improve manual QA processes, test coverage, and communication between teams
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure that QA is embedded throughout the development lifecycle

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in manual QA engineering, with a focus on digital products and remote work
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including Agile methodologies and version control systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and identify root causes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with test planning, test execution, and test automation, including the use of testing frameworks and tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and DevOps practices, including the use of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of customer needs and user experience, with a focus on delivering high-quality products

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated testing, including the use of tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress
• Knowledge of programming languages, including Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with containerization, including the use of Docker or Kubernetes
• Certification in QA or a related field, such as ISTQB or CSTE
• Experience with agile project management tools, including Jira, Trello, or Asana
