About the Role

The Manufacturing Manager position at Eaton's ES AMER PCS division presents a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned leader to make a significant impact on the company's operational performance. As a key figure in the organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing operation, including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. What You Will Do

  • Lead the manufacturing operation to achieve targets in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer demands.
  • Build and maintain a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the organization, fostering an environment where employees are empowered to contribute to operational excellence.
  • Drive daily management through KPI reviews, tiered accountability, performance follow-up, and disciplined escalation, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with operational performance.
  • Identify, develop, and implement sustainable solutions to operational bottlenecks, improving capacity, throughput, flow, and efficiency, and ensuring that these solutions are integrated into the overall operational strategy.
  • Champion Lean manufacturing tools and problem-solving methodologies, such as A3, root cause analysis, standard work, visual management, waste reduction, flow, and kaizen, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with various departments, including Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, HR, and Finance, to solve business problems, improve plant performance, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Support capital projects, process improvements, new product introductions, and operational readiness initiatives, providing leadership and expertise to ensure successful implementation and integration into existing operations.
  • Use data and performance trends to inform decision-making, prioritize resources, and ensure that countermeasures are delivering measurable results, driving a data-driven approach to operational management.
  • Strengthen workforce capability through structured training, cross-training, talent development, and performance management, ensuring that the team has the skills and competencies needed to achieve operational excellence.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field, with a strong academic record and relevance to the manufacturing sector.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in a complex industrial, high-volume, or high-mix manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of achieving operational excellence and driving change.
  • Proven experience leading through front-line leaders and managing large teams in a results-driven environment, with a strong ability to motivate, develop, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, labor productivity, capacity planning, quality systems, material flow, and performance management, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner.
  • Demonstrated experience driving Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives with measurable business impact, with a strong understanding of Lean principles and their application in a manufacturing context.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect shop floor performance to financial and operational outcomes, understanding the financial and operational implications of decisions and actions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with IIOT systems and their application in manufacturing, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive operational improvement.
  • Knowledge of digital skills such as data analysis, process automation, and technology integration, with the ability to apply these skills in a manufacturing context.
  • Certification in Lean manufacturing or a related field, such as Six Sigma, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of continuous improvement.
