About the Role

The Marketing Manager role at Fivetran is a unique opportunity to establish and grow our presence in the Japanese market. As our first dedicated marketing hire in Japan, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy focused on events, content translation, case studies, and account-based marketing (ABM). You will be responsible for driving predictable growth, establishing local authority, and mastering cross-functional rhythms with global teams.

As a key member of our APAC team, you will report directly to the Head of Marketing - APAC, based in Sydney, Australia. Your success will be measured by your ability to launch and scale a sophisticated Japan marketing motion, build Fivetran's credibility, and navigate time zones and cultural nuances to establish seamless working cadences with Sales, Alliances, and Global Marketing teams.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for the Japanese market
  • Manage events, content translation, and account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives
  • Drive predictable growth and generate a high-quality pipeline for the sales team
  • Establish local authority by producing high-impact, local content and hosting premium events
  • Master cross-functional rhythms with global teams, including Sales, Alliances, and Global Marketing
  • Navigate time zones and cultural nuances to establish seamless working cadences
  • Manage the regional budget and project timelines with increasing independence and disciplined prioritization
  • Secure and amplify Japanese customer success stories, turning local wins into powerful proof points for the broader region
  • Collaborate with global teams to align marketing efforts and ensure consistency across regions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve marketing strategies

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a similar role or industry
  • Proven track record of driving growth and generating high-quality leads
  • Strong understanding of the Japanese market and local business nuances
  • Expertise in Salesforce, Excel, and other marketing tools
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) and content marketing

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data analytics and marketing automation tools
  • Knowledge of the data integration and cloud computing industries
  • Certification in marketing or a related field
