About the Role

The Marketing Manager role at Ecolab is a critical position that will drive the development and execution of marketing strategies to support the company's aggressive growth targets. As a key member of the marketing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting sales growth, customer retention, and profitability within the business platform. This will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders to align market needs with future innovations, providing leadership and marketing support to the sales force, and developing in-depth customer and market knowledge.

The role will also involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver project results, staying current on market standards, trends, and practices, and understanding the impact on Ecolab's product line and business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Data Center industry and experience in business-to-business marketing.

The Marketing Manager will be expected to communicate market needs and opportunities to the sales force and other stakeholders, and to develop short and long-term strategies and plans for demand generation, on-going market research, customer needs assessment, sales and inventory forecasting, and customer and sales history analysis.

What You Will Do

  • Support sales growth, customer retention, and profitability within the business platform
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align market needs with future innovations
  • Provide leadership and marketing support to the sales force, including sales tools, training, competitive intelligence, and actionable reporting
  • Develop in-depth customer and market knowledge
  • Communicate market needs and opportunities to the sales force and other stakeholders
  • Develop short and long-term strategies and plans for demand generation, on-going market research, customer needs assessment, sales and inventory forecasting, and customer and sales history analysis
  • Execute marketing strategies, programs, and pricing strategies to meet profit objectives for the business unit
  • Assist in developing sales and customer training programs and sales tools to support the sales force
  • Provide competitive intelligence to the field sales teams to counter competitive offers
  • Stay current on market standards, trends, and practices and understand the impact on Ecolab's product line and business
  • Lead cross-functional teams, as needed, to deliver project results

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of professional experience or MBA in Marketing with 5 years of experience
  • Business-to-business marketing experience
  • Experience in the Data Center industry
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills, including setting vision and strategy, planning, critical thinking, and overseeing multiple project elements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, good attention to detail, and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
