About the Role
The Marketing Strategy and Operations role at Plaid is a dynamic and critical position that drives decision-making across the Marketing and New Business teams. As a trusted partner to leadership, you will deliver insights that shape investment, planning, and optimization decisions across channels. This role is focused on continuously improving analytics and processes, evolving how performance is measured to meet the changing needs of a growing business.The team you will be working with is dedicated to building the foundation that empowers Plaid's new business and marketing functions to operate efficiently, scale strategically, and align with the company's broader goals. You will be supporting the creation and execution of impactful top-of-funnel strategies that resonate with target audiences, driving sustainable growth and long-term success.
As a key member of the Marketing Strategy and Operations team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Business Intelligence, Business Systems, and GTM Ops. Your expertise in marketing analytics, data visualization, and performance measurement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and supporting the growth of the business.
What You Will Do
- Own and standardize top-of-funnel performance analysis, tracking lead generation, conversion rates, and attribution for Marketing and New Business
- Lead comprehensive top-of-funnel and marketing analytics for business reviews, presenting key performance metrics, identifying growth opportunities, and providing data-backed recommendations to marketing leadership
- Partner with Business Intelligence to evolve attribution models and ensure accurate tracking of all marketing touchpoints across channels and campaigns
- Conduct in-depth analysis of marketing campaigns across channels, build and maintain accurate predictive performance models, and present optimization recommendations
- Support multiple marketing functions and channel owners to provide strategic analysis, forecasting, and insights for planning and optimization, including SEO and web, digital, events, customer, and lifecycle marketing teams
- Build strategic partnerships with the Finance, Business Intelligence, Business Systems, and GTM Ops teams to ensure alignment, integration, and smooth workflow across marketing, sales, and other business functions
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing analytics and operations, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales, or Revenue Operations, with a focus on marketing analytics and operations
- Experience in B2B, fintech, or startup environments, with a strong understanding of the financial technology landscape
- Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools, with the ability to create interactive and dynamic dashboards
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets for data querying, extraction, and analysis, with experience in data modeling and database management
- Experience with designing and rolling out KPIs and dashboards, with a focus on metrics that drive business outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to wide audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
- Solution-oriented, proactive mindset, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply data-driven insights to inform business decisions

- Experience with marketing automation platforms, such as Marketo or Pardot, with a focus on lead nurturing and campaign optimization
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R, with experience in data science and machine learning
- Experience with cloud-based data storage solutions, such as Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage, with a focus on data warehousing and integration
- Certification in marketing analytics or operations, such as Google Analytics or HubSpot, with a focus on continuous learning and professional development
