About the Role
The Marketplace & Merchandising Manager at Pro Coffee Gear is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of the online marketplace and a keen eye for merchandising opportunities. As a leader in the e-commerce industry, Pro Coffee Gear is committed to providing top-tier espresso machines and related parts to coffee enthusiasts worldwide. This role is responsible for managing the online product catalog across all sales channels, including Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and Walmart, ensuring that products are competitively priced, and that the brand experience is consistent and high-quality.The Marketplace & Merchandising Manager will lead a team of 4-6 professionals, including a Parts Specialist, Listings Specialist, QA Specialist, and A+ Content Lead. This team will work together to build scalable workflows, quality standards, and performance metrics to maximize revenue, improve conversion, and strengthen multi-channel visibility.
As a key member of the Pro Coffee Gear team, the Marketplace & Merchandising Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure that the online product catalog is aligned with business priorities and that the brand is well-represented across all sales channels.
What You Will Do
- Continuously evaluate product offers against key competitors across all marketplaces to ensure competitive positioning on price, shipping, promotions, and value.
- Make data-driven decisions on sales, promotions, and discount strategies across channels, balancing revenue growth, inventory goals, and margin targets.
- Set team priorities and create execution tickets to ensure efficient execution across the team.
- Monitor performance across all marketplaces, including revenue, conversion, visibility, and operational metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate and approve new product onboarding, assessing product fit, demand potential, competitive landscape, and operational feasibility.
- Develop and maintain scalable workflows, quality standards, and performance metrics to maximize revenue and improve conversion.
- Lead a team of 4-6 professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure that team members are equipped to succeed in their roles.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the online product catalog is aligned with business priorities and that the brand is well-represented across all sales channels.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in e-commerce and marketplace management.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in marketplace and merchandising management, with a strong track record of success in managing online product catalogs and driving revenue growth.
- Proven expertise in multi-channel marketplace management, including Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong sense of adaptability and flexibility.
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategy and competitive analysis, catalog and listing management, performance analytics and reporting, and workflow and ticketing systems.
