As a key member of the team, the MDM Product Principal will ensure that MDM capabilities, workflows, and integrations deliver maximum value, support enterprise data standards, and enable consistent, accurate, and governed data across systems. The role will also involve breaking down epics into actionable stories, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring features meet enterprise data quality and governance requirements.

The MDM Product Principal will report to the Product Manager - MDM and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the success of the MDM program.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the MDM Product Manager to coordinate domain dependencies, sequencing, and prioritization
  • Work closely with solution architects, data modelers, and engineers to define scalable, cross-functional MDM capabilities
  • Document functional specifications including data models, data lifecycle rules, workflows, and integration requirements
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with MDM best practices, governance policies, and enterprise data standards
  • Own and manage the product backlog for your MDM domain
  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring stories are 'dev ready'
  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, technical feasibility, and cross-domain impact
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and feature prioritization activities
  • Ensure stories meet the Definition of Done, including validation of data quality rules and user acceptance criteria
  • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and feature outcomes to stakeholders and leadership

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience working with MDM platforms or delivering MDM capabilities (Informatica, Reltio, Stibo, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of master data concepts including data governance, data quality, match & merge logic, survivorship rules, and domain modeling
  • Experience working in Agile environments, ideally as a Product Owner or similar role
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
