About the Role
The Medical Biller Coder role at CCF Industries is a critical component of the company's healthcare services, ensuring timely reimbursement, accurate claim submission, and compliance with payer requirements. This role is essential for maintaining the financial and operational integrity of the organization. As part of the team, the Medical Biller Coder will work closely with healthcare professionals to review clinical documentation, process medical claims, and handle claim rejections, denials, and appeals.Day-to-day, the Medical Biller Coder will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from reviewing patient records to ensuring that all claims are submitted accurately and efficiently. This requires a strong understanding of medical billing and coding principles, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
What You Will Do
- Accurately process and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Review clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and compliance
- Handle claim rejections, denials, resubmissions, and appeals in a timely manner
- Work with insurance portals to resolve issues and ensure efficient claims processing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify coding and billing information
- Conduct regular reviews of medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical billing and coding regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay current with industry developments
- Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies and issues
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification in medical billing and/or coding preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on medical billing experience
- Demonstrated experience with insurance portals, claim resubmission, and appeals
- Strong understanding of medical billing and coding principles, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
