About the Role
The Medical Transcriptionist Specialist position at Mercor is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented and linguistically skilled individual to contribute to the quality of audio and video transcriptions. This role is crucial for ensuring that all transcriptions meet the highest standards of accuracy and are provided in a timely manner. The successful candidate will be part of a team focused on delivering high-quality outputs and will work closely with the quality assurance team.Day-to-day activities will include transcribing audio and video files with precision, primarily in Dutch, but also developing guidelines and evaluation rubrics in both Dutch and English. The ability to work independently and manage time effectively is essential, as the role requires meeting deadlines without compromising on quality. The team collaborates within GMT or PST working hours, providing a structured environment for remote work.
What You Will Do
- Transcribe audio and video files with high precision, primarily in Dutch.
- Develop and refine evaluation rubrics and guidelines in both Dutch and English to ensure consistency and quality in transcriptions.
- Collaborate with the QA team to review and improve transcriptions, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Participate in quality assurance processes to assess task and rubric quality.
- Work closely with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transcription best practices and technology.
- Manage a high volume of transcriptions while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Contribute to the development of new guidelines and processes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the team regarding project status, issues, and suggestions for improvement.
