About the Role

As a Member of the Marketing Staff at Slingshot, you will be at the forefront of inventing new ways for people to discover Ash, the first AI designed for mental health. Your day-to-day will involve creating content that not only resonates with audiences but also drives growth. You will be working closely with the marketing team, the Head of Marketing, and the founders to ensure that every piece of content, every social campaign, and every growth experiment aligns with Slingshot's mission and values. Given the company's focus on autonomy, flexibility, and support, you will have the freedom to experiment, learn, and adapt quickly.

The role is hands-on, requiring you to be a true jack-of-all-trades. One day, you might be writing and shipping a social campaign, and the next, you could be designing a growth experiment or turning a product moment into content that travels. Your work will directly impact how Ash is perceived online and how people trust it with their mental health. What You Will Do

  • Create content that travels across social channels, focusing on earning attention and trust.
  • Design and execute growth experiments across social, organic, referral, and emerging channels.
  • Use data to decide which content, channels, and experiments deserve more investment.
  • Translate Ash's positioning and messaging into content and campaigns that drive results.
  • Turn product launches and cultural moments into content and campaigns that build audience and demand.
  • Read and analyze metrics to understand what is moving the needle and act on it.
  • Build and grow Ash's social presence from the ground up, focusing on community, tone, and engagement.
  • Partner closely with the marketing team, Head of Marketing, and founders to align strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and growth hacking.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of marketing strategies and campaigns.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in social, content, growth, or creator-led marketing, preferably in an early-stage startup.
  • Strong creative judgment with the ability to produce original content.
  • Experience in growing an audience, either on personal channels or for a brand.
  • Understanding of what makes content spread and the ability to create such content.
  • Growth-minded with the ability to design clean experiments and interpret data honestly.
  • Brand-fluent, understanding how to maintain consistent messaging and positioning.
  • A builder, not a delegator, with a preference for hands-on work.
  • Scrappy and self-directed, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong content and social instincts with the ability to create engaging content for various platforms.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and the ability to use data to inform decisions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI or health-tech marketing.
  • Knowledge of conversational design and its applications.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their integration into marketing strategies.
  • Experience in managing and growing a community around a brand or product.
