Mental Health Therapist for Seniors (Remote - Licensed in Missouri)

As a Mental Health Therapist with Sailor Health, day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting remote therapy sessions with seniors, assessing their mental health needs, and developing personalized treatment plans. What You Will Do

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' mental health needs via teletherapy platforms.
• Develop, implement, and review treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in electronic health records.
• Participate in regular team meetings and peer review sessions to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on the latest research, technologies, and methodologies in geriatric mental health care.
• Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and other caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Work closely with the Sailor Health team to identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of new programs and services.

What We Are Looking For

• Master's or doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
• Active clinical license (LCSW, LCSW-C, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, CP) in the state of Missouri.
• Experience working with the geriatric population, either in a clinical setting or through community outreach programs.
• Strong knowledge of geriatric mental health issues, including dementia, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.
• Comfort with technology, including teletherapy platforms, electronic health records, and digital communication tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and their families.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with strong self-motivation and discipline.
• Experience with case management and the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems.
