About the Role

The Mid-Level Developer position at Skyrocket Studios is a critical component of the agency's technical team, responsible for the development, optimization, and scaling of web platforms and technical systems that underpin the company's digital products and marketing infrastructure. This role combines advanced website development, cloud integrations, AI-driven features, and marketing technology implementations, requiring a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership acumen. As a key member of the team, the Mid-Level Developer will work closely with junior developers, providing mentorship and support to ensure the delivery of high-performing, scalable, and innovative digital solutions.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role are varied and challenging, involving the design, development, and optimization of high-performing websites using WordPress and Shopify, as well as the integration of AI-powered features and cloud services. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to technical strategy, participate in brainstorming sessions, and provide technical insights and solution recommendations to clients and internal teams.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize high-performing websites using WordPress and Shopify, ensuring adherence to modern coding standards and responsive design principles.
  • Build advanced WordPress websites using Elementor and custom theme development.
  • Develop Shopify and Shopify Plus websites, including Liquid template customization and third-party app integrations.
  • Create and manage API integrations that enhance functionality and system efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers and support debugging, code reviews, and adherence to development best practices.
  • Develop and integrate AI-powered features and agents using Gemini Enterprise and the Agent Development Kit (ADK).
  • Integrate Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services into web applications using Cloud APIs and Vertex AI.
  • Build lightweight data engineering workflows such as data pipelines using Cloud Functions and BigQuery.
  • Support scalable data infrastructure that enables analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights.
  • Manage source code repositories and maintain organized content management workflows.
  • Establish development standards across frontend and backend systems to maintain consistency and performance.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in web development, with a strong focus on WordPress and Shopify.
  • Proficiency in GA4, GTM, and Excel.
  • Experience with cloud integrations, AI-driven features, and marketing technology implementations.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and support to junior developers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize complex web applications.

  • Experience with API integrations, data engineering workflows, and scalable data infrastructure.
