About the Role
As a Mobile Developer at Bjak, you will be part of a global team tasked with creating and evolving the company's mobile applications. What You Will Do
- Develop high-quality mobile applications for iOS or Android, focusing on creating intuitive user experiences.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Integrate backend APIs into the mobile applications, ensuring they are stable, scalable, and reliable.
- Continuously monitor and improve application performance, addressing issues such as crash rates, loading speed, responsiveness, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
- Utilize analytics and user feedback to inform product decisions and continuously improve the quality of the mobile applications.
- Contribute to the development of AI-assisted features that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the mobile platform's engineering standards.
- Collaborate with the QA team to identify and resolve defects, ensuring the high quality of the mobile applications.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development, applying this knowledge to improve Bjak's mobile applications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for the mobile applications, ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of professional experience in mobile development, with a strong focus on either iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin).
- Proven experience in building and maintaining production mobile applications.
- Solid understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns and native platform best practices.
- Experience with SwiftUI/UIKit or Jetpack Compose/Android SDK.
- Strong knowledge of mobile UX, usability, accessibility, and user-centered design principles.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and troubleshooting production issues.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed engineering team.
- Strong ownership, fast execution, and attention to product quality.
- Examples of shipped applications or contributions to open-source projects are highly valued.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Swift Package Manager (SPM) or Android SDK.
- Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
