What You Will Do

• Participate in designing, debugging, building, and shipping Android solutions that promote a healthy and inclusive internet
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Develop and maintain Mozilla's Firefox mobile application and ecosystem of open-source Android components
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of new features and functionalities
• Maintain and uphold quality standards by participating in bug fixing, testing, and adopting coding practices
• Work closely with a diverse team of engineers to develop and maintain Mozilla's Firefox mobile application
• Contribute to the development of products that promote a healthy and inclusive internet
• Participate in maintaining and upholding quality standards by participating in code reviews, bug fixing, testing, and adopting coding practices
• Collaborate with senior team members to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Develop and maintain documentation for Android solutions and components

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in building Android applications using Java and Kotlin
• Eagerness to investigate and assist in resolving bugs and issues
• Experience contributing to the development of products
• Ability to work both independently on simpler tasks and collaboratively within a team
• Enthusiasm to work with and learn from an outstanding group of people, including more experienced engineers
• Strong understanding of Android development principles and practices
• Experience with open-source software development
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with other programming languages, such as C++ or JavaScript
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence
• Certification in Android development or a related field
