About the Role
Mozilla is seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer, Android, to join their team in developing applications that promote a healthy and inclusive internet. As a mobile engineer at Mozilla, you will be responsible for designing, debugging, building, and shipping Android solutions that give people a choice in their Android browser to experience the Web in an open, safe, and healthy environment. You will be working closely with a diverse team of engineers to develop and maintain Mozilla's Firefox mobile application and ecosystem of open-source Android components.The role entails collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, participating in code reviews, and contributing to the development of new features and functionalities. What You Will Do
- Participate in designing, debugging, building, and shipping Android solutions that promote a healthy and inclusive internet
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain Mozilla's Firefox mobile application and ecosystem of open-source Android components
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of new features and functionalities
- Maintain and uphold quality standards by participating in bug fixing, testing, and adopting coding practices
- Work closely with a diverse team of engineers to develop and maintain Mozilla's Firefox mobile application
- Contribute to the development of products that promote a healthy and inclusive internet
- Participate in maintaining and upholding quality standards by participating in code reviews, bug fixing, testing, and adopting coding practices
- Collaborate with senior team members to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain documentation for Android solutions and components
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in building Android applications using Java and Kotlin
- Eagerness to investigate and assist in resolving bugs and issues
- Experience contributing to the development of products
