About the Role

The Mobile Mortgage Advisor Assistant role at CIBC is a part-time, 12-month contract position that operates within a home office environment. As a key member of the Personal and Small Business Banking team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Mortgage Advisor in building their business and helping clients achieve their goal of home ownership. With a focus on flexibility and fast-paced environment, you will be working closely with the Mortgage Advisor to provide administrative support, facilitate the mortgage application process, and assist with marketing and business development activities.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a Mobile Mortgage Advisor Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for clients, responding to their inquiries, and providing guidance and support throughout the mortgage application process.

What You Will Do

  • Respond to client inquiries and facilitate the mortgage application process
  • Assist the Mortgage Advisor in activities to support their business, including administrative tasks and business development
  • Identify and attract new clients to the Mortgage Advisor through marketing and business development activities
  • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring that clients' needs are met and exceeded
  • Assist with the preparation of mortgage applications, including gathering and verifying client information
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and mortgage applications
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve business objectives and support the growth of the Mortgage Advisor's business
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of CIBC's mortgage products and services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, including changes to mortgage regulations and policies
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in residential mortgages
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong client service skills and ability to build trust with clients
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information
