MOT Tester

About the Role

The role is based in Yeovil and offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of vehicles and to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic team. You will be working closely with the service team to ensure that all jobs are running smoothly and that customers are receiving the highest level of service.

As a MOT Tester, you will be playing a critical role in ensuring the safety and roadworthiness of vehicles, and you will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be expected to maintain high standards of quality and to adhere to all relevant regulations and procedures.

What You Will Do

• Carry out MOT testing on a wide range of vehicles
• Perform vehicle servicing and maintenance to the highest standards
• Conduct visual health checks on vehicles
• Deal with customer queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
• Ensure that all jobs are running smoothly and that deadlines are met
• Work closely with the service team to ensure that all vehicles are serviced and maintained to the highest standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work carried out
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures
• Participate in training and development programs to improve your skills and knowledge
• Use Excel to maintain records and reports

What We Are Looking For

• A valid UK driving licence
• Experience as a MOT Tester in a similar environment
• A high level of technical expertise and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A strong commitment to quality and safety
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• A willingness to participate in training and development programs

Nice to Have

• Experience working with a wide range of vehicles
• A strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• Experience working in a main dealer workshop or fast fit centre
• A certification in MOT testing
• Experience using Excel to maintain records and reports
