Job Description

About the Role

Supabase is seeking a skilled Multigres Deployment Engineer to own the deployment and operational infrastructure of its distributed Postgres platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the Multigres Operator, a Go-based Kubernetes operator
  • Architect cloud deployment infrastructure for reliable EKS and Kubernetes deployments
  • Manage storage and networking layers, including CSI drivers and cross-cloud networking
  • Develop deployment tooling for provisioning, scaling, and managing Multigres clusters
  • Ensure operational excellence with monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic capabilities

Requirements

  • Strong systems programming skills, with proficiency in Go and Kubernetes
  • Experience with database operations, including deployment patterns and high availability
  • Distributed systems expertise, with familiarity with consensus protocols and failure scenarios

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CSI storage drivers, storage orchestration, and service mesh technologies like Cilium or Istio

  • Be prepared to showcase your experience with Kubernetes, Go, and cloud infrastructure, highlighting specific projects and achievements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of deployment patterns, including backup/restore, replication, and high availability.
