About the Role

The National Account Manager position is a key role within the Enterprise, Commercial & Light Industrial team at Vertiv, focusing on managing high-priority accounts within the enterprise market vertical. This role is crucial in driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction. As part of a specialized sales team, the successful candidate will work closely with application engineers and sales support teams to deliver tailored solutions to customers.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role involve building and maintaining strong relationships with allocated accounts, promoting Vertiv's product offerings, and identifying new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate complex technical information to customers, and develop account plans to drive growth.

As a key member of the sales team, the National Account Manager will be expected to contribute to the development of sales strategies, participate in pipeline creation calls, and engage with dedicated marketing activities. Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong networks are essential for success in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with allocated accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Promote Vertiv's product offerings, including Busbar, Switchgear, ACP Power Products, and Thermal Management solutions
  • Continuously inform accounts of new product developments and service offerings
  • Develop and lead new opportunities within the account, coordinating with application engineering and sales support teams
  • Engage with dedicated marketing activities for Vertiv products and services
  • Develop and manage account plans to drive growth and retention
  • Participate in pipeline creation calls, pipeline review calls, demand generation, and activity planning sessions
  • Contribute to the monitoring of the market, identifying new business opportunities and promoting them to the business
  • Undertake presentations to key stakeholders, including organizational capabilities, portfolio overviews, technical deep-dives, and value-add presentations

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in account management, preferably in the UPS power or related industry
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong networks, both internally and externally
  • Strong technical proficiency, with the ability to develop into a 'generalist' role
  • Experience with Excel and other sales management tools
  • Strong industry knowledge and understanding of market trends
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to sales strategies
