About the Role
The Navy Lifecycle Sustainment Consultant role at Guidehouse is a unique opportunity to support the US Navy in achieving and sustaining excellence in lifecycle sustainment. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with colleagues to develop and improve processes related to lifecycle sustainment, ensuring the Navy's systems and assets are properly maintained and supported throughout their entire lifecycle. This role requires a deep understanding of US Navy operations and sustainment principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with senior government clients.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve working collaboratively with team members to identify areas for process improvement, develop and implement new processes, and provide support to US Navy client missions. You will also be required to participate in formal and informal briefings and feedback sessions with government clients, providing expert advice and guidance on lifecycle sustainment matters.
As a consultant, you will be expected to think critically and strategically, analyzing complex problems and developing effective solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping the US Navy to achieve its goals, and your contributions will have a direct impact on the success of the organization.
What You Will Do
- Develop and improve processes related to lifecycle sustainment, ensuring the Navy's systems and assets are properly maintained and supported throughout their entire lifecycle
- Work collaboratively with team members to identify areas for process improvement and develop and implement new processes
- Provide support to US Navy client missions, including participating in formal and informal briefings and feedback sessions with government clients
- Interface with senior government clients, providing expert advice and guidance on lifecycle sustainment matters
- Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions, thinking critically and strategically
- Participate in the development of workflow analysis and process improvement methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government clients and team members
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve processes and outcomes
What We Are Looking For
- Active and maintained Secret Federal or DoD security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- At least 2 years of professional experience supporting federal contracts
- Experience working with the US Navy or other government agencies
- Strong understanding of US Navy lifecycle sustainment principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think critically and strategically, analyzing complex problems and developing effective solutions
- Experience with workflow analysis and process improvement methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working as a consultant, preferably in the defense sector
- Familiarity with major weapon systems programs
- Experience working with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
