.NET Developer Advocate

About the Role

The role matters because it helps bridge the gap between the company's products and the needs of its users, ensuring that JetBrains' solutions are meeting the evolving demands of the .NET ecosystem. You will be part of a team that is passionate about software development and is committed to helping developers create better software.

In terms of team context, you will be working closely with the product teams, marketing, and other advocates to ensure a cohesive message and strategy. Your reporting structure will be to the Developer Advocacy team lead, who will provide guidance and support in your role.

What You Will Do

• Develop and deliver technical content such as blog posts, videos, and presentations to the .NET community
• Engage with developers through social media, forums, and in-person events to understand their needs and provide support
• Work closely with the product teams to provide feedback and insights from the community
• Represent JetBrains and its .NET related products at conferences, meetups, and other industry events
• Collaborate with other advocates to develop and implement a comprehensive advocacy strategy
• Create and maintain relationships with key community influencers and thought leaders
• Provide input into the product roadmap to ensure it aligns with the needs of the .NET community
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the .NET ecosystem
• Participate in online forums and discussions to provide expertise and build the company's reputation

What We Are Looking For

• Experience as a software developer with a focus on .NET technologies, including ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and Blazor
• Strong understanding of enterprise backend development and some experience with frontend development
• Good debugging and testing practices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team
• Passion for the .NET community and a desire to help it grow and thrive
• Experience creating technical content such as blog posts, videos, and presentations
• Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with community influencers and thought leaders

Nice to Have

• Experience as a developer advocate or in a similar role
• Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Certification in .NET development or a related field
