About the Role
The .NET Software Developer position at Pivot Path Solutions is a remote opportunity that involves supporting the full software development lifecycle for a government client. This role is crucial for the project's success, as the developer will be responsible for designing, coding, unit testing, debugging, and documenting software applications using ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net, JQuery, JavaScript, and Oracle database. The ideal candidate will work directly with the project manager and team members to provide comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.As part of a dynamic team, the .NET Software Developer will contribute to the design, development, and operations support in an ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net environment for the VSSM program. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a project that utilizes Visual Studio 2019 and Azure DevOps, implementing industry best practices to ensure cyber compliance. In this role, the developer will have the freedom to work remotely, managing their time and tasks independently. However, they will also be an integral part of the team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals. The ability to work in an agile scrum environment and to manage software development efforts using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and UML diagrams is essential.
What You Will Do
- Evaluate cyber and performance results and provide recommendations for changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Implement industry best practices to ensure cyber compliance is maintained.
- Design, code, unit test, debug, and document software applications using ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net, JQuery, JavaScript, and Oracle database.
- Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
- Design and develop new software products or enhancements to existing software code base.
- Consult with the project team to understand application requirements.
- Support feasibility analysis on potential future requirements to management.
- Assist in the evaluation, peer reviews, and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
- Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Utilize agile scrum methodology for code build/deployments.
What We Are Looking For
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in designing software systems, domain analysis, and implementation.
- Experience as a developer with a progressive record of accomplishments in the IT field.
- Hands-on SDLC experience (i.e., planning, implementation, designing, deployment, and testing).
- Hands-on programming with ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net.
- Ability to manage software development efforts using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, UML diagrams, and other accepted design tools and techniques.
- Experience using front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Ability to determine the level of effort, size, and schedule for software enhancements.
- Experience reviewing existing programs and assisting in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving existing techniques.
- Experience with responsibility for quality assurance and evaluation of existing software products.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Proven experience working in an agile scrum environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active government clearance required.
