About the Role

The .NET Systems Software Programmer position at SUNSHINE ENTERPRISE USA LLC is a remote, contract-based opportunity that involves designing, developing, and implementing .NET applications for the Department of Social Services. This role is critical in integrating and modernizing systems, ensuring scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET architectures and experience in building web-based applications with complex security models.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions, as well as participating in unit testing, integration testing, and deployment of software components. The role also involves supporting legacy system modernization and integrating processes into the Child Care Services System (CCSS).

The team context for this position is highly collaborative, with a focus on Agile methodologies and continuous improvement. The candidate will be working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the developed applications meet the requirements and are aligned with the overall strategy of the Department of Social Services.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and implement .NET applications using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, and PrimeNG.
  • Develop and maintain data-driven applications with MS SQL Server 2016.
  • Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and deployment of software components.
  • Support legacy system modernization and integrate SC Voucher and CACFP processes into CCSS.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions.
  • Maintain documentation and follow software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
  • Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot, modify, and support existing applications as needed.
  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications.
  • Work with multiple application, database, or web server systems.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing medium to large-scale software systems using .NET architectures.
  • 3+ years of experience in building web-based N-tier applications with dynamic content and complex security models.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing data-driven applications with MS SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems and multiple application, database, or web server systems.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with DSS and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience with Human Services software (CAPSS) development is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with performance, security, and regression testing tools.
  • Familiarity with MS Visual Studio 2010/2013/2015/2019/2022, TFS, and other development tools.
  • Knowledge of Entity Framework 6 and IIS8.5.
  • Experience with responsive design and web application development.
