About the Role
The Networking Territory Manager position at Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a pivotal role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and sales acumen. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customers while identifying and cultivating new sales opportunities within your assigned territory. What You Will Do
- Actively prospect within your assigned territory to identify and cultivate new sales opportunities
- Manage your sales pipeline, tracking progress and adjusting your strategy as needed to meet your sales targets
- Leverage your technical expertise to articulate the value proposition of Hewlett Packard Enterprise's networking solutions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions
- Conduct product demonstrations, customer training, and product installations as required
- Negotiate profitable deals that drive revenue growth and expand the company's footprint
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to drive sales growth
- Provide regular sales forecasts and progress updates to your manager
- Participate in sales meetings, conferences, and trade shows to promote Hewlett Packard Enterprise's offerings
What We Are Looking For
- A university or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or business administration
- Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher sales targets, with a proven track record of success in sales roles
- In-depth knowledge of networking solutions, including products, services, and technologies
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience working with customers at the manager level, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges
- Ability to work independently, with a high degree of autonomy and self-motivation
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth and expand the company's footprint
- Familiarity with sales tools and technologies, such as CRM software and sales analytics platforms
- Ability to travel as required, to meet with customers and attend sales meetings and conferences
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the IT industry, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing IT professionals
- Familiarity with Hewlett Packard Enterprise's products and services, with a strong understanding of their value proposition and differentiators
- Certification in sales or a related field, such as a sales certification program or a technical certification in a relevant area
- Fluency in Japanese, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in this language
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of remote work
