Job Description
About the Role
The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Neuroradiologist to read evening neuroradiology studies on emergency department patients and inpatients. This role is part of an expansion due to increased volume and offers the opportunity for remote work. The selected candidate will be part of a vibrant neuroradiology division, collaborating with a team of over 30 neuroradiologists.The neuroradiologist will focus on interpreting imaging studies obtained as part of the Emory Healthcare System, including Emory University Hospital and its network of hospitals in the Atlanta metropolitan area. This position involves working evening shifts, with a rotation of one week on and two weeks off, allowing for a balance between work and personal life.
What You Will Do
- Interpret neuroradiology studies, including CT, CTA, and MRI of the brain, head & neck, and spine
- Provide clinical care to patients, including those in emergency departments and inpatient settings
- Collaborate with radiology residents and neuroradiology fellows to provide education and supervision
- Participate in divisional activities, including education and trainee supervision
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in neuroradiology and apply this knowledge to improve patient care
- Work in a collaborative environment with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety and excellence within the neuroradiology division
What We Are Looking For
- ABR Board-certified or eligible in neuroradiology
- Subspecialty fellowship training in neuroradiology
- Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license
- Strong clinical skills in neuroradiology
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
