Job Description

About the Role

The New Homes Community Manager plays a pivotal role in serving as the main point of contact for Sunrun stakeholders and external builder customer-based teams. This position is the subject matter expert for builder sales teams, from community launch to production and through community completion. The goal is to bring cohesion to community production by acting as a liaison between builder partners and internal Sunrun teams. As part of Sunrun's mission to make energy more reliable and affordable, the New Homes Community Manager will be instrumental in coordinating with internal teams to ensure the accuracy of community specifics and partnering with the Account Management team to resolve escalations. The role also involves conducting training for builder sales agents on Sunrun's program and processes, ensuring alignment and a smooth transition for homebuyers. With a focus on customer satisfaction and community engagement, this position requires someone who is not only adept at program management but also skilled at fostering constructive relationships with builder sales agents and other stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Create and manage sales-specific community information within Salesforce, ensuring all necessary details are accurately recorded and up-to-date.
  • Confirm solar and storage offerings, pricing, builder specifics, and all relevant information needed for downstream teams' success.
  • Facilitate weekly community launch meetings with Account Managers to coordinate on accurate offerings, sales information, builder strategy approach, and grand opening dates prior to community opening.
  • Develop material and conduct training sessions with builder sales managers and agents to ensure alignment on Sunrun's solar program expectations and requirements.
  • Negotiate appropriate cut-off timelines for homebuyer solar selection paperwork, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards.
  • Establish relationships with builder purchasing and escrow contacts for pricing coordination and escrow report tracking, facilitating smooth transactions and minimizing errors.
  • Foster constructive relationships with builder sales agents through frequent touchpoints and timely completion of requests, promoting a collaborative and responsive work environment.
  • Travel in-market 25% of the time to assigned accounts to bolster strong partnerships and address any on-site needs or concerns.
  • Conduct training and educational sessions with assigned builders to ensure accurate understanding and adherence to Sunrun processes and offerings, supporting continuous learning and improvement.
  • Analyze report data to ensure alignment between buyer-signed contracts and field installations, identifying any discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Navigate buyer escalations and offer innovative solutions to maintain collaborative relationships with agents, prioritizing customer satisfaction and issue resolution.
  • Ensure community program details are kept current in Salesforce for internal knowledge consistency, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field, demonstrating a foundation in business, marketing, or a relevant discipline.
  • 3-5 years of account management experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector or a similar industry, with a proven track record of success in managing client relationships and driving business growth.
  • Strong ability and desire to foster meaningful partnerships with builder contacts, leveraging excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and flexibility to be part of a new team, contributing to a dynamic and innovative work environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, with the ability to manage and analyze data effectively, supporting informed decision-making and process optimization.
