About the Role
As a Nurse Practitioner at Sunrise Group, you'll be responsible for delivering comprehensive sleep medicine care to patients via telemedicine. This role is part of Dreem Health's clinical team, and you'll work closely with the Medical Director to screen, diagnose, and treat patients struggling with sleep issues. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional patient care, while also contributing to the development of innovative sleep health solutions.The role requires a high level of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment. You'll be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sleep medicine and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes. What You Will Do
- Provide comprehensive sleep medicine care via telemedicine to patients across the United States
- Thoroughly document patient interactions using a customized Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Apply appropriate billing procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality control and improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Return patient messages and calls in a timely and professional manner
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed
- Keep current with and follow American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines and clinic medical protocols
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and other team members to develop and implement new sleep health programs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sleep medicine and apply this knowledge to improve patient care
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct patient care
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sleep or sleep medicine
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Strong knowledge of sleep medicine and telemedicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with AASM guidelines and clinic medical protocols
Nice to Have
- Experience with sleep study analysis and interpretation
- Knowledge of billing and coding procedures for sleep medicine services
- Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and technology
- Certification in sleep medicine or a related field
