About the Role
The O&M Deployment Leader will play a crucial role in driving the development and deployment of new technologies and tooling for GE Vernova's global Wind Service OM&U Business. This will involve working closely with various stakeholders, including Wind Engineering, EHS, and Regional Execution Teams, to ensure the successful implementation of O&M automation and new technology programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and experience in managing complex projects remotely.As a key member of the team, the O&M Deployment Leader will be responsible for leading the validation and beta testing of new tooling and processes, as well as establishing global training requirements and strategies for new products. This will involve building a curriculum, creating training levels, and leading training sessions globally. The role will also require providing technical direction and support to ensure the safe and efficient deployment of new technologies.
The O&M Deployment Leader will be part of a global team and will be expected to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and locations. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and project management skills, is essential.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development and deployment of new technologies and tooling for the global Wind Service OM&U Business
- Collaborate with Wind Engineering, EHS, and Regional Execution Teams to ensure the successful implementation of O&M automation and new technology programs
- Manage the validation and beta testing of new tooling and processes
- Establish global training requirements and strategies for new products
- Build a curriculum and create training levels for new products
- Lead training sessions globally and provide technical direction and support
- Provide input on the design and development of new tooling and processes
- Develop and implement plans for the operational deployment of new technologies and tooling
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the deployment of new technologies and tooling
- Collaborate with the Regional Execution Teams to ensure the successful deployment of new technologies and tooling
- Develop and manage budgets and resource allocation plans for the deployment of new technologies and tooling
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the wind industry, with a focus on O&M and automation
- Experience in managing complex projects remotely and leading global teams
- Strong technical skills, including experience with robotics and automation technologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including international travel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency in technical writing and process documentation
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience with wind service troubleshooting and maintenance
- REDP (Renewable Energy Development Program) or RELP (Renewable Energy Leadership Program) graduate
- Repair and/or Robotics Engineering experience
- Lean, Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality certification
