Job Description

About the Role

The O&M Deployment Leader will play a critical role in driving the development and deployment of new technologies and tooling for GE Vernova's global Wind Service OM&U Business. This includes a focus on robotics and automation, aiming to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics across operations. The role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including Wind Engineering, Product Line, and Regional Execution Teams, to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes.

As a key member of the team, the O&M Deployment Leader will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing lean efforts to optimize existing processes and capabilities. This involves leading global validations and beta periods for new tooling and process products, establishing validation teams, and overseeing data collection and report-outs.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the development and deployment of new technologies and tooling for the global Wind Service OM&U Business, focusing on robotics and automation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Global Wind Services OM&U and Wind Engineering, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead global validations and beta periods for new tooling and process products, working with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and realistic trials.
  • Establish and lead validation teams, identifying site locations, logistics, work instructions, and execution plans.
  • Collect and analyze data during validation phases, providing detailed report-outs to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement action plans following tool and process validations, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Establish global training requirements and strategies for new products, including curriculum development, training levels, and session leadership.
  • Provide technical direction and support, including off-hour remote and on-site assistance, to ensure tasks are completed safely, with quality, and within standards.
  • Lead full operational deployment, including cost-benefit analysis, procurement planning, logistics, team requisites, maintenance protocols, and training plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean efforts for new and existing capabilities, creating detailed PSRs, leading Kaizens, and developing new standards to enhance SQDC metrics.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, including international travel, and comply with company travel and tax policies.
  • Strong technical skills, with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
  • Experience in wind service troubleshooting and maintenance, with hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, with established project management skills.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and process documentation, with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a self-starter mentality and attention to detail.
  • Safety-conscious with strong analytical skills and the ability to work across all functions and levels.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with repair and/or robotics engineering.
  • Completion of programs like REDP, RELP, or FEP for GE employees.
  • Lean, Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality certification.
