About the Role

The On Site Human Resources Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and employee success at Flexport's Lewisville Fulfillment Center. As the dedicated HR leader for this site, you will partner directly with FC leadership to manage all HR functions, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding. Your expertise in employee relations, labor law compliance, and HR best practices will be essential in shaping the employee experience, fostering a positive culture, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and Flexport policies.

As a key member of the People team, you will be instrumental in implementing HR programs and initiatives that support the growth and development of our employees. Your ability to analyze HR data, identify trends, and recommend solutions will help inform site-specific HR strategies and drive business outcomes. With a strong focus on compliance and a 'compliance first' attitude, you will ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, while also maintaining the highest standards of employee satisfaction and engagement.

The Lewisville Fulfillment Center is a dynamic and rapidly expanding site, and as the On Site Human Resources Manager, you will be at the forefront of this growth. You will work closely with site leadership to drive operational excellence, manage employee relations, and ensure that our HR functions are aligned with the company's overall mission and goals.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for the Lewisville Fulfillment Center, advising leadership on all people-related matters
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Lead employee relations efforts, conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies
  • Drive HR program implementation at the site level, including performance reviews, compensation cycles, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and Flexport policies within the fulfillment center
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and contribute to site-specific HR strategies
  • Partner with site leadership to achieve business and people objectives
  • Manage HR functions independently for the Lewisville Fulfillment Center
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives to drive employee satisfaction and engagement

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an onsite operational environment (e.g., fulfillment center, manufacturing, warehouse)
  • Proven expertise in employee relations, labor law compliance, and HR best practices for non-exempt workforces
  • Strong ability to partner with and influence site leadership to achieve business and people objectives
  • Experience managing HR functions independently for a specific site or business unit
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • A 'compliance first' attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport
  • Proficiency in Excel and other HR systems and tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a logistics or supply chain management environment
  • Knowledge of HR systems and tools, such as Workday or BambooHR
  • Certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or PHR
  • Experience with employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Familiarity with labor laws and regulations, such as FLSA and EEO
